Equipping Communities for Confidence and Resilience

We believe that when individuals gain practical skills, entire communities grow stronger. Through specialized training in self-defense, responsible firearm handling, survival strategies, and personal protection, we empower residents to protect themselves and support one another. This commitment to up skilling not only builds individual confidence but also fosters a safer, more united community.

Community Training

These training programs are rendered by service providers in our network with the same ethos as Community Active Response.
Community Security Response
Basic Course

Become part of the dedicated CSR family and receive training to serve as a volunteer protector supporting security operations at community events and public functions.

Commitment:
6 weeks, 1 Session per week

Outcome:
After completion member will be registered as a Grade C Security Officer with PSIRA to ensure legal requirements as per Law

Community Security Response
Intermediate Course

This advanced course is designed for dedicated volunteers ready to step up as trained response members that will assist with various crime prevention tasks in the community.

Commitment:
13 Weeks, 2 -3 sessions per week

Outcome:
Participants will receive specialized instruction in accident scene management, crowd management, tactical awareness, threat identification, and coordinated response strategies.

Control Room Course

Theoretical and practical training will qualify you to volunteer with in the CRV (Control Room Volunteer Unit) 24/7 Control Room and during community events.

Commitment:
8 weeks, 1 session per week.

Join the CRV Unit

Teen Control Room Course

Grade 10+ students can qualify to volunteer in the 24/7 Control Room with controllers. It’s an opportunity to give back, develop critical thinking skills, and learn to stay calm under pressure.

Commitment:
1 session, 6 hours.

Outcome:
Join the CRV Unit.

CPR and Basic First Aid Course

Community members over the age of 15 can be equipped with adult, child and infant CPR and choking training, and learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator.

Commitment:
1 session, 2-3 hours.

Outcome:
Resuscitation Council of SA Certificate.

Community Self-Reliance Course

This course is build to train community members in critical skills needed to be self reliant in an emergency. Skills that will be taught is of self-defense  nature and encompasses multiple skills sets that are needed

Commitment:
12 session, 2-3 hours.

Outcome:
Self- Resilience Certificate.
